Well, there's The Population and then Bullseye, Profero and Amnesia all do social media monitoring (although not sure to what extent they have their own proprietary monitoring technology).
Thanks Mark. I think Population and Profero has proprietary, but not sure about Bullseye and Amnesia
Bullseye offers a 3 tiered approach to Social Media which involves LISTEN (to understand the conversations and to help organisations action the insights), ENGAGE (helping organisations with engagement strategies), and then to INFLUENCE (maximising the creation and expansion of social media conversations)
Thanks ifarmer. Do Bullseye use proprietery tools for LISTENING or is it from a 3rd party?
The Population will have a proprietery tool out in market in early Feb. It will not only monitor blogs but also most other social media channels.
Thanks for the write up Andy, and nice to meet you last month.
You might also want to add www.StreamWall.com.au to your list - i don't know the team but they do appear to be Australian. Apparantly the ClearBlueDay agency is using them.
I'd also love to share which agencies are using which whitelabel social media monitoring platforms but im sure i'd get myself into trouble if i did :( All i will say is that Visible Technologies TrueCast appears to be strong in the WPP owned agencies.
As you know im at BuzzNumbers, we have been running social media monitoring for around 18 months now. To offer some transperancy we currently have 50+ Australian Brands using our platform, as well 5 top tier agencies as whitelabel resellers.
At this point this industry is seeing double digit month on month growth and i really don't think we are anywhere near the tipping point of mass adoption in this space.
It's a really exciting area to be in - we a really humbled and excited by the swift market uptake of both our product and the industry in the last 6 months.
One of the great aspects in AUS is that local vendors have been able to share experiences to grow the market as a whole. I know we have spoken with The Population and BullsEye so far - i will be interested to see their products in the flesh once they launch publically.
A wiser man than me once said - "A rising tide lift's all boats."
I'd be happy to share any updates on the state of the market if you have any questions.
Cheers, and look forward to talking soon.
